Question: Meth/drug addiction bowel movement?

Why do meth addicts need to take a dump after the first hit. I've heard other types of drug addicts having the same issue (alcohol, coke, heroin). I'm looking for a medical explanation. Thanks!

Drugs(including cigarettes) increase the metabolism in the body. That is why most drug addicts are not fat. So with an increase in metabolism, more waste leaves the body.

I would bet that it has to do with the drugs affecting the muscles in the intestine.
